Use Audio, Video & Lighting to Establish Your Church Brand

Use Audio, Video & Lighting to Establish Your Church Brand

Yes, you can use AVL to establish your church brand! In fact, it’s required! Since church branding is about controlling what your church is known for, let AVL control the senses around that church brand. AVL-control solidifies the church brand and allows it to “stick” longer in your audience’s memory. A church can be known for many things! Make sure you’re known for the right things (a solution to needs or a path to goals). Discover your thread that unites your ministries and makes it easier to tie AVL-control to essential sensory elements! Let’s discuss this so you can do it, and encourage your Pastor to do it too. Zero-Level Heroes and Participatory Adaptable Assembly Spaces

Zero-Level Heroes and Participatory Adaptable Assembly Spaces

Before Electricity (aka B.E.) the necessity of adaptability, participation and connectedness in assembly spaces were inherent in the reality of social gathering. During Electricity (aka D.E.) all bets are off and - so the theory goes - as long as you can plug in, the day is won regardless of how performance based the space really is with everything coming "at you". Enter our "Zero-Level Heroes" (two of which are less than a 2 hour drive away in Indy) and the potential for adaptability in assembly spaces and "with you" participation of all types and sizes ! A 200 image slide slam of history and recent/ current case studies in four such spaces (and counting) in the last 15 years will look forward to gaining clarity for increasing participation in a perpetually changing world and leveraging AVL for maximum benefit in the future. Small space or large space, existing space or new, there's something for you !

Why Churches Must Think Like TV Producers to Succeed in Digital Ministry

Why Churches Must Think Like TV Producers to Succeed in Digital Ministry

In this session, attendees will learn why many churches are missing the mark in their digital ministry efforts and how to shift their perspective to approach it like a TV producer would. We’ll look at how most churches are looking at digital ministry through the wrong lens and so are not capitalising on the opportunities they have. By shifting their approach and thinking like a TV producer, churches can develop a more sustainable and long-term strategy for their digital ministry. Also, we’ll discuss how in effect all churches have become "production hubs/companies" and why this means their approach needs to match this new reality. Attendee Takeaways By the end of the session, attendees will walk away with practical insights and strategies for how they can rethink their digital ministry approach to ensure they are effectively reaching and engaging with their congregations online. They'll also understand what it looks like to create something that is sustainable in the long term.

Critical Listening

Critical Listening

Our ear / brain listening system is still the most powerful “sound analyzer” we have, and our listening skills improve when we are intentional about developing them. We’ll talk about how we perceive sound and some techniques for ear training, and listen to a variety of audio samples and discuss what makes them great mixes – or not. We’ll focus on listening deeply from both an artistic (musical) and technical perspective and present ways we can practice this, as well as learn to recognize various mixing techniques and apply them practically in our live worship sound environments. Attendee Takeaways - Tools and tips for ear training. - ideas and methods for preparing to mix - music appreciation - keener sense of listening deeply, and ways to continue practicing and applying this skill.

BOTH/AND Maximizing Hybrid Worship

BOTH/AND Maximizing Hybrid Worship

While there were plenty of early adopters of hybrid ministry before the pandemic, the vast majority of churches went online when the COVID arrived. Moving into our third year of this new hybrid reality, it is imperative that we create engagement with our online worship experience. It is entirely possible and completely necessary to move those not gathered physically from being spectators to participants. In this session, author/hybrid ministry specialist Jason Moore cover seven ways to increase engagement for online participants, moving them from watchers to worshipers. Based on his Amazon bestselling book, BOTH/AND Maximizing Hybrid Worship Experiences for In-Person and Online Engagement, this workshop is filled with practical learnings for how to take hybrid ministry to the next level. It will explore how to be both high tech and high touch.
